Observation details
Heard distinctive high frequency, rising trill song, that ends with rapid pitch drop at end, coming from deep in riparian area. Bird was heard intermittently singing for about 50 minutes. Song was differentiated from OCWA by higher frequency trill on rise and maintaining the high frequency during rapid pitch drop. An OCWA was signing nearby making direct comparison possible. The OCWA trill was did not oscillate pitch as fast at NOPA, throughout song. Despite hearing the bird over a long period of time, I could not get a look at the bird due to tree density of the area. Fortunately, I was focusing on audio recordings was able to get good recordings. Best is attached.
