A female Galah wiping her beak on the de-barked trunk of a Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) and chewing more bark from the tree. Galahs and other Cockatoos are often observed chewing and stripping the bark of rough-barked eucalypts, sometimes ring-barking and killing the tree.
Observation details
Pair chewing Jarrah bark and investigating a nest hollow. Another pair flying and calling.
