Media notes
Male calling at nest location just before flying to nest tree with nesting material.
Observation details
First saw the male flying low above the field immediately adjacent to the golf course. It landed in a tree very close to Lampson Ave. It pruned feathers for about five minutes. It called just before taking flight (recording included). When taking flight, it hovered in the branches and pulled a twig from the tree with its beak. It put the twig in its talons and flew to the nest tree. It disappeared into the nest tree for about 30 seconds, then emerged and flew overhead. It disappeared to the south, flying over the neighborhood towards the NWSSB property. I did not see the female but heard soft calls coming from the tree.
