Observation details
It took me 1 hr 20 min to hear and record the GRSP singing the high pitched “kip-kip-kip zeeeee” as several SASP were singing a similar “zit-zit-zit-zeeee-zaaay” song. The beginning of the Savannah’s song is similar to the Grasshopper’s but the Savannah’s middle buzzing and ending downward trill separates the two species. Listen for a short insect-like steady high pitch buzz.
