Matt said he watched the bird give two call notes, but I was only able to find one in the file, which is the one included here. The note was given in response to playback.
Observation details
The (presumably) same male as yesterday was back in his same flowering tree right by the cabaña. At one point he chased off another male. A female also seen. Got some better photos of the male today, including some showing leaf-perching behavior while feeding, some of the coppery iridescence on the rump, and the extent of the wing molt.
