A ruru / morepork calling from a tall tree in the garden. Bird not sighted in the dark. Recorded until it went silent and I saw it flying away
Observation details
A morepork heard one calling from down the street, to the west. It went silent, then a morepork started calling from a tree in the garden. It called for several minutes, then it went silent and I saw it flying away to the east. A short while later I heard a morepork calling from that direction. I'm assuming that all three were the same bird
