Observation details
Empidonax group flycatcher with greenish olive upper parts, long primary projection, pale double wing bars, flattish slope to forehead, thin eyering, long and fairly broad bill, etc., perched on a pine branch on the northwest corner of the Forest Playscape, singing at length; many good looks, including observations of the bird while it was singing; multiple consecutive recordings; photos. (I apologize for the heavily silhouetted shots in the photos! When I changed position to get a shot in better light, the bird predictably flew to another branch where it was more obscured from the camera's view.)
