Observation details
First heard vocalizing "fitz bew" to the east of the second-most-westerly overlook on the Raptor Trail around 7:20 AM. About ten minutes later, after walking the trail a bit to search for the bird and returning to the same spot, it flew up from the brush, then worked westerly along the Raptor Trail to the end. Ran into it again near the midway bench on the trail while walking east, and was able to voice record it there. Not long after, I ran into a Traill's Flycatcher on the East Dike between the split south of the visitor center and the Dune Trail, and found out the bird on the Raptor Trail had flown over this way, so likely the same bird. At 9:20, I again encountered the bird slightly west of here in the thicket right at the roadway split south of the visitor center, this time vocalizing again. Photographed pretty extensively, and one voice recording to add. Since this individual hung around the area throughout the morning, it was fortunately able to be seen &/or heard by a number of people.
