Observation details
**Rare, but becoming fairly regular in late spring at this location in the past few years. Found by Andy Guthrie earlier this morning. Bird singing from the median strip just east of the area four entrance. Identified and easily detected by distinctive PEETzah song. When flying to another perch would also give soft rapid twitter upon landing. Photos. Video. Audio. Fairly large Empidonax with long wings, peaked head, and large, broad-based bill. Underparts very pale. In good light, upperparts olive. Head somewhat darker, but blending into color of the rest of upperparts, and into paler whitish throat. Not actively flicking wings and tail (cf Least). Notes updated 12:00pm, 27 May after uploading photos and video.
