Observation details
After having scoped the rosefinch, we heard the pheasant type call. We played back TibSno calls and there was a response (see audio that will be uploaded) of same quality. Dipu scanned the ridge on our left (as we drove towards G'dongmar) and saw one calling right at the top of the cliff, calling, cocking it's tail with every call. We scoped it out at 60x and everyone got a good view. After about 5 minutes, the bird started moving and came to our side of the ridge. It looks like it saw us on the road, and a flock of six took off, circling the ridge and disappearing behind. What an experience! Note for Birders - Try this spot, listen for the calls, and scan the ridge. It is quite likely the bird is present in every such ridge.
