Observation details

Pulled over on the wide shoulder just south of the intersection to listen for AMWO that we had heard on our previous visit here a couple weeks ago. Right when we arrived, a single frog was calling nearby and right at the end of each of its calls, a faint weird sound was heard briefly. We kept listening and soon realized that it was a very distant EWPW. Not even a minute later one started singing much closer and was clearly the unmistakable song of an EWPW. Didn't hear the distant bird after that, but the closer bird was singing almost nostop, only taking short breaks in between 30+ second songs. No playback was used to get it to sing. Recording attached.
