Observation details
Found in NW corner of lagoon 20’ from paved road. Realized I’d seen in earlier but only saw a big white bird and thought it was a domestic duck so I proceeded to the swan pen to look for songbirds. I must have spooked the egret as it flew off westish just as i was setting up for digiscoping. Drat. I refound it fishing on west bank of fall creek opposite first foot bridge. Got distant shot and video. At 1438h it flew off (with a lump in its throat) over 7th green at Newman golf course and into jetty woods. Has it been around for days? Duh…Just checked and see Jay and Oliviia found it on Sat morning. somehow missed that report. So it’s apparently hanging around.
