Observation details
The first bird is a new one at this site (at least for me), located at about 33.104152, -116.492506, which is 0.9 mi west of the location of a known pair (see below). First detected while giving infrequent burry chirps, but I was unsuccessful in recording any of its (few) vocalizations. The bird, however, was photo-cooperative (photo below), showing its distinctly yellowish belly, rufous tail coloration that reaches the tip, and a fairly large bill. The other two birds are the continuing pair at 33.100500, -116.476318, where the cottonwoods come closest to San Felipe Rd. The birds were often together, and vocalizing frequently, but not photo-cooperative (at least for definitive photos). Below is an audio clips with a variety of burry calls obtained from those birds as they were in the creekside cottonwood trees.
