Observation details
Super loud singing got my attention. I assumed Northern Waterthrush (I don’t hear them sing). I tried Merlin anyway and dropped to my knees and started recording in earnest. It came towards me and started very loud chip notes. It took a long time but eventually I saw it and later was able to photograph it. A bit similar to a Waterthrush but no streaks underneath Dull brown above, no wing bars. Chestnut cap. Large bill. Recorded and photographed. East of the pond on the other side of the tree line next to the pond. In the corner you can sneak into the dense dark undergrowth until you get out into the sun next to the stream. It was all over this area. Easier to hear than see. 32.10932°N 104.47124°W #397 Having a ton of computer issues trying to get a photo uploaded
