Observation details
Continuing bird. Discovered by Caleb Helsel. Found this morning singing downstream/east of the Hill of Life trail intersect. Not far past the orange streamers. Sang for over an hour from the north bank of the creek. Crossed over to the south bank a few times. Song was a loud liquid clear relaxed series of three similar pitched notes, followed by an up tempo flourish of swinged note that ended on a lower pitch. Observed singing from shaded understory in oak. Drab low contrast plain warbler with brownish tones above, creamy pale below, faint brick reddish cast to crown, dark eyed look, eye line, thick/llong bill. No wingbars. OK looks with 8x42s. Sang repeatedly for over an hour then fell silent. Photo and audio obtained. Seen with Dr. Byron Stone and Justin Bosler.
