Observation details
Brown wader with lighter colored neck/head and whitish colored spots. Long, decurved bill. Seen on a log in a swampy section just off the road (https://www.google.com/maps/place/35.368402,+-90.236960/@35.367221,-90.2362736,16z/data=!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d35.3684021!4d-90.2369602). Very cooperative for pics (Finally posted 17MAY). ADDENDUM: This is my second limpkin sighting in a month. On 12APR23, I had a totally random and bizarre sighting near downtown Collierville-TN in Shelby County (https://ebird.org/checklist/S133502614). Additionally, another Shelby County limpkin was sighted and photographed on 16APR23, off of W. Island Forty Rd in Shelby Forest (Literally just across the River from Wapanocca; only a few miles). Could this be the same bird? Who knows.
