Observation details
All blue bunting with some white on the belly. This does not appear to be the possible Indigo Bunting x Blue Grosbeak hybrid individual that has been seen here. The bill does not appear to be large enough and there is no sign of obvious wingbars (although the bird was sitting such that the wing was not clearly visible). The undertail coverts also do not appear to have pale feather-edgings, although that is also difficult to judge from this photo. From the white belly this looks more like a possible Indigo x Lazuli Bunting hybrid. This bird was about 1/4 mile down the Canyon Tr, singing from the top of a large cottonwood.
