NOTES: (General Climate: Cyclic Wet-Dry; Season: dry) [This recording contains a variety of different calls, primarily variations on the "Reedy Cries" of BNA. It begins with mostly "Chip" Calls, said in the BNA account to have the quality of a bicycle horn or a falsetto toot of a 17th century trumpet. Intermittently at first, but more consistently later in the recording, is the Limpkin-like "Gheeek!" Call (0:19, 0:46, 0:57, 1:04, 1:12, 1:23, 1:50, 1:51, 2:11, 3:05-3:20, 3:28-3:31, 3:48, 3:54, 4:04, 4:47, 5:05-5:12, 5:15, 5:18, 5:22, 5:25, 5:36, 5:39, 5:43, 6:26, 6:30, 6:48, 6:54, 6:58, 7:02, 7:16, 7:26, 7:30, 7:45, and 7:59), which takes on the quality of a "Gull-like Note" in the latter part of the recording (5:58, 6:13, 6:35, 6:41, 7:03, 7:15, 7:25, 7:32, 7:36, 7:41, 7:47, and 8:03), where two birds are counter-calling with the Limpkin-like and gull-like calls. There are also at least four "Cackles" (3:20-3:24, 5:48-5:50, 6:16-6:21, 7:24-7:26), all of which may have been given by birds in the background. At least two birds are calling here. Quality unchanged (2) - CAM - 25 February 2005]. Number of individuals=AUc3;. Habitat: River, Riparian.
