Observation details
Two males, both of which sang at various points throughout the morning. Black and white warblers with black ear patch; crept along trunks and limbs and gave the “rusty gate” song. One sang frequently from the thick cottonwoods above the “car crash willows.” The other sang infrequently, and was near impossible to see, on the far side of the pond. At one point, they were counter singing.
