Media notes
Several other species are singing, but the soft "Poo-poo-poo-poo" of the LEBI is easy to hear as it sings three times in this audio recording.
Observation details
A male was singing, out of sight, in reeds near this location: 33.969753, -118.423097 This spot is just before the west-end water narrows down to a cemented channel with a black chain link fence. I first heard the soft "poo-poo-poo-poo" notes at about 9:50 AM. After a couple of minutes, it became silent and then resumed singing about 5 minutes later. The accompanying audio recording includes three of the Poo-poo... calls.
