Observation details
M. Hagland's find continues, initially silent and skulky early afternoon, perking up, singing and foraging between 2 and 3. Greenish head with bright yellow throat, white lower parts, gray outerparts. Thick hooked bill and prominent spectacles. Seen in 4 different locations, first seen low in the vegetation behind the tamarisk/dead tree middle of the trail, then all the way at the end high up in the eucs, before being heard singing and found in the dead oak and moving west again. Photo TBA. Recorded while singing its typically slow and burry song high in the eucs at the western end of the canyon (audio clip below).
