Observation details

A very large white tern with a jet black cap, large and thick dark red bill, and black on the underside of the primaries. Jayton got good photos. Bird found by Christian Walker and his friend Paul 30 minutes earlier. They observed the bird at close range flying on the north east side of the lake. It then moved to the west side of the lake where it landed on the shore. Amy and I first drove in on the east side to look at it from across the lake as thunderstorms were approaching. We then drove to the west side where we joined Jayton and Lance. From here, we also observed the bird on the east and west side of the lake.
