Observation details
Presumably same bird heard at the exact same spot where I found it two days last week. Today I recorded its call again, plus a secondary (alarm) call and a song. But it still never came out of the patch of bushes, and never showed itself. It responded to playback of Siberian Blue Robin calls, but then responded more strongly to playback of its own calls. When I played the recording of the bird’s own call, it began to sing. When I played a recording of its own song, it gave the alarm calls. (Originally identified as Siberian Blue Robin, based on its most frequent call type)
