Observation details
The first bird I saw perched on a leafless tree by the roadside near the public market of Lamut, Ifugao. It was 5:45am. Their "psst, psst" call caught my attention and initially identified it is as Olive-backed sunbird. The other bird was perched further on a coconut palm. I focused my camera on it hoping to get the glint of its throat. But when I reviewed the photos, I realized that it was different. The dark head pattern and the light throat was different from a typical Olive backed sunbird. It must be a Gray-throated Sundbird.
