Observation details
continuing adult found yesterday by Less Peterson, medium sized dark mantled gull with yellow legs, pale iris, red orbital ring. Bill tip is red transitioning into a full black ring before turning yellow. Long primary projection and small white windows in black wingtips. Black tailband seen well in flight. An eagle flushed all the gulls from the sandbar and after circling around in a big loop the gull flew steady to the west. An attempt was made to record the calls the bird gave in flight and a few calls are audible (especially the one just past 23 seconds) among other gull calls, crows and feet crunching on pebbles (26 observers present).
