Observation details
Continuing wintering bird, on the south side of the ravine at 33.748712,-118.304131. We first heard it from the north side of the ravine and bushwhacked to this spot to see the bird, but the bird should be audible and visible from the street at Walker Ave. Calls a clear elongated mournful whistle, rising slowly in pitch and then falling slowly. Myiarchus Flycatcher. Long bill, fairly yellow belly, some rufous in wings, no rufous seen in tail. Actively moving around and calling. Views always brief, obscured and in poor light, but call diagnostic. Recordings and photos.
