Observation details
Gray, white wing-barred Setophaga warbler feeding high in the flowering cottonwoods. Black auriculars, white supercilium, and white neck spot contrasted with blackish side streaking and yellow throat that only came as far as the top of the breast. Wingbars were a bit spotty and under-formed and facial/crown contrast were minimal. Perhaps a second-year bird or female. Lighting was not great, either. Seen by at least 15 other birders and photographed by several others. Never sang but call noted on a couple of occasions and only briefly.
