Observation details

Very large flock, conservatively counted, hanging around and feeding in Sweetgum trees at the intersection of Oakwood and Southwood, near where a flock was reported 3 hours earlier by Orrin via Peter D on Twitter. Some red, others lighter, with crossed bills and white wing-bars clearly observed. Significantly larger than Pine Siskins and Am. Goldfinches with which it was flocking. See images.
