Observation details
This is a nesting pair. These birds are distinctly different from our North American race with chest belly and legs red with white speckling under the throat and distinctly on the belly and white under-tail coverts. Excellent views in the scope for everyone. This was a very aggressive male defending the nest. I am thankful for Juan Cristóbal Gundlach, born Johannes Christoph Gundlach and Orlando Garrido for their deep understanding of the Cuban avian community. I have not posted this bird in the correct location. Please contact me at info@downeastnaturetours.com for more information.
