Media notes
Song from an individual that was heard that morning, presumably spent the day roosting nearby, and then started singing spontaneously around 20:16. Each bout has a few phrases missed as I started the recorder.
Observation details
*Rare migrant. Heard this morning by Jeff Doyle. Started singing at 20:14 from his yard on Muriel, well to south of south end of Tareyton. Sang a few long bouts, then a couple shorter ones, then fell silent around 20:34. Seen briefly hawking insects from a tall white pine. A second bird was audible in the earlier more distant recordings (see first few seconds of Brad's recording particularly) and by Jay in the field but not detected subsequently after we got closer to the main bird.
