Media notes
NOTES: (Bkground Sounds: Village drums. Breeding Status: Teritorial. Response to Playback: Normal song(sound) with increased tempo. Gen. Climate: Arid, cyclic wet-dry.) The initial sequences are all natural and when I use playback it is annotated. The mobbing cuts of the flycatcher, bulbuls, and other birds are what first attracted us to the owl (of course!). Parus albiventris was a very persistent mobber. Photos were obtained. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest, Riparian, Pasture, Thicket/Brush, Scrub, Grove, Sand.
