The outer 2/3 tail feathers on either side were dark making a distinctive tail pattern Dark legs Dusky neck shawl that was very obvious and extended down to a slightly dusky arm pit The underwing was dirty but not dark. Base colour was fairly white with dirty markings Long dark beak. Forehead and chin were white but the rest of the head was dirty. There a distinctly darker smear behind the eye that got wider the further from the eye Mantle and scraps were a dark grey, darker then black headed hull but lighter then lesser black backed. Secondary coverts were a similar colour. The primaries and secondaries were a mixture of dark brown feather and lighter chocolatey feathers Secondaries seemingly dark brown and hard to discern any paler tips but tertials were dark grey with white tips. Primaries were dark brown but inner primaries had substantially more wear. One or two sets of the primary coverts were the dark grey of the scraps instead of the dark brown of the rest of the wing
