NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial, breeding. Env. Zone: Tropical-subtropical. Gen. Climate: Arid, cyclic wet-dry. Gen. Habitat: pastured acacia woodland degraded. Habitat Types: Near dammed pond dry water course; scattered trees mostly thicket & bush to 5 m. Cover Density: Open, medium.) Field annotations are all included. Playback was not used until we wanted to net him so this has no playback stimulation. Elephants had left several emergent Acacia gerrardii. These tall trees were the singing area of the male minor the following year as elephants had destroyed the 1st tree a different tree was used by a different male. The end annotation is "investigated a d'Arnaud's Barbet!". Other Behaviors: Establish Flock Contact. Habitat: Forest, Pasture, Thicket/Brush, Scrub.
