Observation details
I first spotted one peering through the weeds while using grape posts in the vineyard as a blind. (I was trying to get an accurate count of yellowlegs in the field.) The duck sat quietly and never flushed as I kept my movements slow. After taking a few photos for documentation purposes, I started scanning the fields with my binoculars and found a second one resting in the weeds. There could have been more but it started to rain quite hard so I left. See attached photos.
