Behavior and other notes: Adult male Eastern Whip-poor-will singing from the roadside. At times he was perched in oak trees, at other times he was perched in Virginia pines. At the end of the third cut he gives growl calls, another call, and wing flaps. Recorder HPF on at 80 Hz, -12 dB/octave. Channels: Mono. Distance to source: 16-25 meters.
