Media notes
This series of toots occurred after I gave my third 30-sec bout of NSWO song. I 've logged it at "playback used" because the bird did not begin singing until I whistled first.
Observation details
After my first bout of NSWO tooting, I heard a handful of scattered toots in response. After my second bout, I heard several bouts of 2-5 toots, closer than previously. After my third bout, the owl was closer still, pretty close to my car, and it gave toots fairly steadily through the duration of the observation to include once I was back in the car and ready to drive away.
