Observation details
small rich brown bird with whitish supercillium and dark striping on neck and sides of breast flew up from the brush at the river's edge and landed on a low branch above the path. Then another one lighter in color but the same markings followed. both birds were continually bobbing their tails and both had whitish -buff breast - Merlin id'd them as northern water thrush and I noticed others have seen them recently here and at Great Falls
