Observation details
Slightly smaller than HEGUs, more rounded head, more petite bill, very light plumage (picture included), ventral primaries white when bird in flight or visible to some degree when looking at ventral surface of more distant wing when bird standing (see picture), a tail band about the color of (or a hair lighter than) the dorsal primaries was also visible when the bird was in flight. This seemed to be a bird going into, or basically in, the bleached out appearance of this species during its "first summer" (see Sibley guide, 2nd ed)
