Observation details
At marsh at the W 30th ST South bridge. I heard the distinctive call first when two eagles flew over causing all the shorebirds to flush including the curlew, I was able to spot the curlew flying away and got a few photos before it flew out of sight. I could not spot it again when I drove back by the marsh later on, but hopefully it comes back! I have seen curlews here at this particular spot a handful of times now. There were also many many Baird's sandpipers, some least, and other calidris in the area. photos now added of the curlew which show the very downcurved long bill shape
