Observation details
Long orange, black-tipped bill, long tail. The reason I noticed it as it flew by was the silvery-white primaries flashed in the light. That's when I realized it wasn't a gull. Good looks with binoculars confirmed this. The pictures are not that good, but in picture 001, you can see them on the right wing.
