Observation details
Found along the east beach where it meets Sparrow field at 8:20 AM. Relatively large, pale sparrow with distinctive "harlequin" facial pattern with bold crown stripes, chestnut cheek patch and crown patches, black eye line and black malar stripe. Sandy brown-gray colour overall, tail with conspicuous white tips and outer rectrices. It moved around frequently and over the next hour or two was seen near the park road, in several locations within Sparrow field, and along the east beach north of sparrow field by 100-200 m.
