Two cuts from a male bird perched at and near the top of the canopy in primary terra firme forest. The bird was moving with a mixed flock, and consistently vocalizing, including giving calls in flight. The songs in these cuts given while perched, the calls during the second part in flight.

Observation details

male seen as part of a huge canopy flock from the top of the canopy tower. Bright blue with a "powdery" tinge, not the slightly turquoise blue of Black-faced Dacnis; wings blue, back mostly blue, tail shorter, belly white. Photographed and recorded.
