Media notes

Rattle calls. Likely a male, assuming the female was the one on the nest. Normalized to -3 using Audacity.

Observation details

This crane landed and walked around the area for over an hour until the human had to leave. At one point it wandered towards an area that had a nest in the past and another crane rose and squawked a command to keep moving. Likely the walker was a male with the female telling him to go get the groceries. A short while later he called his lament and began searching for the groceries. Therefore a nest is suspected again, though currently unable to be viewed and will be even more difficult once the greenery develops.
