Observation details
First, I saw movement around the base and exposed roots of a tree that looked like a mouse, running in and out of the tree roots. I was able to see-through binoculars and definitely was a tiny, round bodied wren with its tail, sticking straight up behind it I got very good looks as the wren approached me when I played, winter wren sounds. it came to within a few feet of me on a downed tree limb in the stream underneath the bridge I was standing on. After it moved to a small tree at the bank, a Carolina wren came and chased it away.
