picked up on this actively migrating bird crossing the channel moving east/northeast, before it turned south over the ocean as it neared the land of Jones Beach. apparently decided to get out of NY as it migrated into the rain/bad weather that was just hitting. initially gave the impression of more energetic, flappier flight than GBHE, and in scope showed overall sleek blue-gray plumage, bill with pale proximal half and dark distal half. early. some terrible digiscope photos tba
