Observation details
Plentiful throughout, heard singing and doing their calls (similar to a gnatcatcher call). Took many photos and recordings. Really cool to see them interacting with each other and feeding. Became easier to see as i ascended the hike and could look down from above vs craning my neck to see them moving through the canopy. This number is an estimate based on seeing and hearing them at pretty much every section of the hike. In other recordings I posted, you'll hear them in the background. Distinguished from often nearby white-eyes from lack of white eye ring, longer more decurved bills and distinctive song and calls. Mix of ages with many grayish birds and in between birds along with bright yellow adults. Often feeding in groups.
