Media notes
A Raven/Crow was recorded from a roadside tree.
Observation details
A single large AMCR-like bird was observed with binoculars as it perched on a roadside tree about 50 meters away. The bird had a large bill and rough neck feathers, but the tail was square. The call notes were also not typical for AMCR or CORA. We felt this was more likely to be a CORA rather than an AMCR by body size. The recording reveals a two note phrase with the second note being longer and slightly lower in pitch. Could this be a possible "popping" variant call note of the CORA.
