Observation details
Good number of birds observed along with river terns. We were able to document nesting behaviour of Little tern. A tern was seen sitting on a small rocky island near the Bank of the river. It was frequently sitting on the same spot. The same bird was observed to glide over water and was seen touching water surface with its belly. Later it landed on the same location and sat there for a while and flew back. We observed through binocular that there were three eggs in the shallow scrape amongst stones. It was getting hotter hence the bird was using its wet belly to protect the eggs from high temperature. Later another two terns were seen disturbing this tern at nest.
