Observation details
Looked odd to fit a typical Blyth's Reed Warbler. Foraging in relatively open and higher perches. Longer bill, flatter forehead. Discussed with Graham Walbridge and Peter Kennerly about possibilities of a LBRW but no conclusion reached. Update 8/May/2023 I had the following checklists reviewed by Lars Svensson, along with 3 more suspected LBRW cases. Sandip Das, 24 Dec 2017 https://ebird.org/india/checklist/S41282329 Sudip Ghosh, 22 Dec 2017 https://ebird.org/checklist/S74525765 Peter Kaestner et al, 29 Mar 2009 https://ebird.org/checklist/S98218424 Sandeep Biswas, 3 Mar 2023 https://ebird.org/india/checklist/S130032223 "I am of the opinion that all these are Large-billed Warblers, but I can only be completely convinced that the one photographed by Peter Kaestner is one such. For the other I have to say ‘most probably’ this species." - Lars S.
