This photo was taken just before it landed on the cattle chute.
This Black-billed Magpie was seen in Central Roberts County near a herd of cattle. As I approached he flew to a nearby corral just long enough to get one photo of it perched. Then he took off to rugged country where I was unable to follow. The coloration was black with long tail, white shoulder patches and white wing tips. When I first noticed it, I was in my vehicle and it was flying approximately 30 yards away. I immediately grabbed my camera and took several photos 3 of which are included. I am not sure of it's sex and am assuming it is an adult considering the time of year.
